Position Information
The Supervisor 2 is responsible for the supervision a group of skilled employees and the organization of all departmental business practices/activities, in accordance with established practice, legislation, hospital policies, rules, and regulations. The Supervisor 2 ensures the overall objectives of the department, and the organization are met, while providing effective leadership that fosters employee job interest and the efficient delivery of services.
Within their own team, the Supervisor 2 applies learning and accountability consistent with a just culture, provides staff with written instruction on safety precautions where appropriate, ensures that staff adhere to standards of safe work and patient care and closes the loop on staff and patient safety issues to ensure continuous improvement.
What you will do
- Acts as a formal supervisor (i.e., assist in hiring, performance management, discipline, assignment of work, etc.).
- Acts as escalated support for issues arising within the department.
- Expected to provide technical guidance/advice to stakeholders.
- Monitors compliance with policies and procedures
- Participates in Month End Close process, this may include full scope or a subset of related.
- procedures, analysis and reporting as assigned.
- Participates in Year End Close process and financial audit, this may include full scope or a subset of related procedures, analysis and reporting as assigned.
- Participates in the preparation of patient revenue budget and forecast.
- Ad hoc financial and/or data analysis and reporting as required.
What you will bring
- 4-year Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration/Accounting
- Certified Professional Accountant (CPA)
- 5 years of experience in Accounting, Accounts Receivable or Billing
You will stand out with
- Advanced Epic Skills
- Understanding of the Hospital billing guidelines and regulations
- Ability to use Power BI
