Specialty Services Care Stream

Overview

The Specialty Services Care Stream at The Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Centre (TOHRC) offers unique programs for people with physical disabilities who have complex or specialized needs. These services are designed to improve independence, mobility, communication and overall quality of life.

Our team works with patients to find personalized solutions that support their goals—whether that means learning to communicate in new ways, returning to driving, using a prosthetic or orthotic device, or improving foot health and mobility. We also apply engineering and technology to help patients in daily life.

Each program is led by experienced professionals who provide assessments, training and support tailored to each person’s condition and lifestyle.
