Whether you’re on staff, coming for an interview, contemplating a move here, receiving outpatient care, or offering support to a sick relative, our long and short-term accommodation suites at the Residence Corporation offer a comfortable, affordable stay in the Ottawa area.

The Residence Corporation is a 15-storey building located on the Civic Campus of The Ottawa Hospital. A regular shuttle bus service provides convenient, quick access to the General and Riverside campuses of The Ottawa Hospital.

The Residence Corporation long-term accommodation suites are home to many physicians and hospital staff.

Our short-term accommodations offer 75 large, fully furnished suites to new employees of the hospital, guests of staff members, residents, medical students, as well as the families and friends of our hospitalized patients.

Suite types

All suites have their own living area, private bathroom, cable TV, internet access where available, phone (hospital extension, local calls are free), bedding, towels, full kitchen, dishes and cutlery where applicable.

Studio suites

Private bathroom, living area, small fridge, and microwave.

One-bedroom suites

Full kitchen, living area, and private bathroom.

Two-bedroom suites 

Full kitchen, living area, and private bathroom.

Three-bedroom suites

Full kitchen, living area, and private bathroom.

Four-bedroom suites

Full kitchen, living area, and private bathroom.

Other details

Guests staying 30 consecutive days qualify for the monthly rate, which is tax-exempt. Monthly stays must be booked and paid in full before arrival. If a stay goes beyond 30 days but is less than 60 days, HST will be charged on any extra nights after the first 30 days. Additional fees may apply for extra cleaning, lost, or lost parking fobs.

Parking is available on-site for all guests. Daily parking is offered at a rate of $16 per day, while monthly parking is available for $150 per 30 days. Guests may request parking upon booking or at check-in, and a parking fob will be issued as needed.

Please note that lost or unreturned parking fobs will incur an additional replacement fee. Parking availability is subject to capacity.

Important Payment Notes:

  • Payment is due upon arrival for both daily and monthly guests.
  • Guests staying at the daily rate will not be charged for unused booked nights.
  • A reservation of more than 30 days but less than 60 days, the first 30 days will be charged at the monthly rate (no HST), any additional nights beyond 30 days will be subject to the daily rate and 13% HST.
  • Any outstanding fees or charges will be billed to the credit card on file at check-out..

Location: 751 Parkdale Avenue, Ottawa, ON

  • Enter through the main lobby doors facing Parkdale Avenue and follow the kiosk instructions.
  • Arriving by vehicle: Pull up to the parking gate, press the call button at the intercom, and follow the instructions provided.

Check-out: 11 a.m.

  • Late check-out may be available upon request and may include additional fees.
  • Guests wishing to extend their stay must confirm availability and complete payment before 11 a.m.
  • All charges must be paid in full at check-out.
  • Return keys to the front office. After hours, please use the key drop box located in the lobby next to the main doors.
  • Reservations: If you do not arrive on your scheduled check-in date and have not contacted us to cancel or advise of a delay, your reservation will be automatically cancelled and charges may apply.
  • No smoking and no pets: Smoking, vaping or using cannabis inside suites is not permitted. Pets are not allowed; however, service animals are accepted with proper documentation. A $500 cleaning fee will be charged if these rules are violated.
  • Third-party billing:
    • Must be pre-approved in writing using our authorization form by a recognized company or agency.
    • Guests without pre-approval must pay for up to the first seven days of their stay at check-in.
    • All charges, including any additional fees during the stay, ultimately remain the responsibility of the guest.
  • Housekeeping: Weekly housekeeping is provided. The cleaning schedule is posted on the back of your suite door.
