Dr. Fady Balaa

Dr Fady Balaa is a general and hepatobiliary surgeon in the Division of General Surgery, and Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery. He completed medical training at the University of Western Ontario, followed by surgical training at the University of Ottawa, and further specialization in hepatobiliary surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He holds a Master of Medical Education from the University of Dundee. He has served as General Surgery Residency Program Director, and as Division Head of General Surgery. He has also served on the general surgery examination board for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as well as a Physician Advisor for the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
