Greg Knoll is Chair, Department of Medicine at the University of Ottawa and Head of the Department of Medicine at The Ottawa Hospital, as well as a senior scientist with the Clinical Epidemiology Program of the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. His research involves various methodologies, including systematic reviews, observational studies and randomized trials with specific interests in studying quality measurement in kidney transplantation, selecting transplant candidates, pre-transplant cardiac screening and management strategies for the complications of kidney transplantation. 

Dr. Knoll has served on dozens of committees, boards, and working groups focused on improving the care of patients with kidney failure and kidney transplantation. He is a Past President of the Canadian Society of Transplantation and previous Program Lead with the Canadian National Transplant Research Program. Recently, he has been involved at the Provincial and National levels working to implement quality and performance measurement standards for solid organ transplantation. He was the Co-Chair of the international KDIGO guidelines on the Evaluation and Management of Candidates for Kidney Transplantation.
