Reece D. Bearnes

Executive Vice-President, Clinical Programs and Regional Vice-President, Cancer

Reece D. Bearnes is a national multi-award-winning health executive, currently serving as Executive Vice President, Clinical, and as the Regional Vice President, Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario). A proud Easter Coaster, Reece is a graduate of Dalhousie University’s Master of Health Administration program and holds a Certified Health Executive (CHE) designation with the Canadian College of Health Leaders. He is also the recipient of an Executive Fellowship in Healthcare Administration.

In his role, Reece provides executive leadership for clinical operations across multiple sites. Through his career, he has had vast experience leading various clinical services, including a multitude of regional programs.

Reece is well known in the national health leadership community. He is Past President of Dalhousie’s Health Administration Alumni Association. Crediting strong mentorship throughout his career journey, he established the ‘ELEMENT’ mentorship program for emerging health leaders, later winning a national health leadership award for his efforts.

Reece’s infectious attitude and inspiring dedication make him an asset to TOH. Despite the success and accolades, he maintains a strong sense of self and a delightful personality, staying grounded through his value of family, friends, and community.
