Areas of Care

The Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Centre

The Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Centre

At The Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Centre (TOHRC), patients will interact with many professionals dedicated to providing them with the best possible care.

Here are some of the staff members our patients may encounter:

Physiatrist

The physiatrist and/or primary care physician under their direction will examine you, evaluate your condition regularly, supervise your care and prescribe necessary tests, medications, devices and treatment.

Primary nursing team

A primary nursing team will be assigned to you when you are admitted.  They will create and follow your personalized care plan from the time you arrive until you leave. Nursing care is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Depending on your needs, care will be provided by either a registered nurse (RN) or a registered practical nurse (RPN).
